Archival Print on Pearl Paper, Scanned Navajo Textiles
11” x 14”
This piece depicts the landscape of the Shiprock Monument on the Navajo Reservation. It is meant to portray the interconnectedness of Navajo philosophies and weaving, and how they both are all tied to and relate back to the land itself.
Darby created this image from a photo that she took and through her digitally rendered depiction she includes several Diné weavings including a chief style blanket, a saddle blanket, and a banded style blanket.
